Σύντομο Βιογραφικό
Ο Γιάννης Καρατσιώρης γεννήθηκε και μεγάλωσε στην Ελλάδα, είναι 29 χρονών και ζει στην Αθήνα. Βραβευμένος από τον ΕΣΠΑΙΡΟΣ Σερρών για το διήγημα φαντασίας "Μία Ιστορία" (Μάιος 2008), έχει ανεβάσει ένα θεατρικό "Το τελευταίο όνειρο" (Θέατρο Κάτω από τη Γέφυρα, 2009), έχει εκδόσει ένα μυθιστόρημα φαντασίας στα ελληνικά "Το Συμβούλιο των Αφυπνισμένων" (Etra, 2007) και κάνει τα πρώτα του βήματα στον κόσμο των εκδόσεων στο εξωτερικό με πρώτο τη νίκη του στο διαγωνισμό του εκδοτικού οίκου HarperCollins στον ιστότοπο authonomy.com με το μυθιστόρημα "The Book of the Forsaken (The Game, #1)" (Φεβρουάριος 2012).
Τα γούστα του, σκοτεινά και σαρκαστικά, τον οδηγούν σε ένα στυλ που θυμίζει τους Νηλ Γκέημαν, Ντάγκλας Άνταμς, Τζόναθαν Στράουντ και Μιχαήλ Μπουλγκάκοφ. |
Short Bio
Yannis Karatsioris -real name-, Greek born and raised, is 29 years old and lives in Athens, Greece. He has already staged a play, published a fantasy novel in Greek and, after winning with The Book of the Forsaken the gold medal on HarperCollins' competition on authonomy.com, is now making his first steps in the publishing world out of Greece.
His tastes, dark and sarcastic, guide him to a style reminiscent of Neil Gaiman, Douglas Adams, Jonathon Stroud and Mikhail Bulghakoff. |
